Donald Trump has been surrounded by concerns regarding his health for a long time. Now, a newly shared video the U.S President has posted has put more fuel to the fire that something isnât right.
The U.S is continuing the conflict in Iran. After opening the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20 percent of the worldäs oil is transported, it closed again as Iran claimed ships had been attacked by the U.S.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is continuing his erratic behavior on social media, which has many concerned about whether he is still fit to be president.
However, some of his behavior might be explainable. Throughout the war with Iran, Trump has been changing his approach many times. At times, he acts very aggressively, and at other times, he tries to push for peace talks quickly.
In a new Wall Street Journal report, Trump has been shifting between confrontation and attempts to make peace, while privately worrying about how bad the situation could become as the conflict lasts longer than expected.
This unclear approach is also shown in what he says to the public. Officials say many of his statements were made on the spot and were not part of a clear plan. For example, Trump threatened that Iranâs âwhole civilizationâ could be destroyed; it was made up on the spot. Officials told the Wall Street Journal that this is not part of any official strategy.
Donald Trump âdeliberatelyâ acts unpredictably as a strategy, claims officials
However, this might be a strategy, as the newspaper reports that Trump deliberately chose to act unpredictably. Senior officials said he wanted to seem as unstable and offensive as possible, thinking this would push Iran to negotiate. At the same time, he also cared about how people reacted, and asked his aides, âHowâs it playing?â
Still, the fact that Trump is erratically posting on social media has had many concerned, not least a newly posted video of Frank Sinatra.
On Saturday, the 79-year-old president posted a nearly 4-minute clip of Frank Sinatraâs live performance of âMy Wayâ on Truth Social. Trump didnât add any context, which sparked widespread speculations about his intentions.
The text to the song reads, âAnd now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain. My friend, Iâll say it clear, Iâll state my case, of which Iâm certain, Iâve lived a life thatâs full, I traveled each and every highway, and more, much more than this, I did it my way.â
The song continues, âRegrets, Iâve had a few, but then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway, and more, much more than this, I did it my way.â
Concerns over Donald Trump after the president shares âthe end is nearâ clip of Frank Sinatra
On social media, people speculated whether Trump is doing OK and what the My Way song could refer to. One person asked: âIs he foreshadowing his demiseâŚ.?â
A second wrote, âI would focus more on the âI did it my wayâ than âthe end is nearâ.â
A third added, âSuch a chilling subliminal. Either the end is near for us or Donald Trump. Either way, this series gets no better anytime soon.â
âTrump sharing those exact lines from My Way feels like a clear signal. He plans to finish the Iran situation exactly on his terms with no regrets and no bending to outside pressure. Straight message that he will see it through his own path,â a fourth user wrote.
Donald Trump has never been a big fan of talking about his health. However, in January, his words about aspirin might have hinted at how he sees himself.
He told the Wall Street Journal, âThey say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I donât want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?â
