The popular singing competition show announced a special night honoring the “Opalite” singer during the Monday, April 20 episode. Next week, the top seven contestants will perform Swift’s “chart-topping hits and defining eras.”

“Next week, the top seven will officially enter their Taylor Swift era!” host Ryan Seacrest said during the episode. “They’ll be taking the stage, celebrating the music of Taylor Swift, with iconic songs from Taylor’s acclaimed catalog — from her early country roots to her global pop anthems, and all the Grammy-winning songs in between.”

The April 27 episode will include guest judge Nikki Glaser, who has professed her admiration and support for Swift, 36, many times.

In season 22, winner Abi Carter covered Swift’s beloved Red track “All Too Well,” and most recently, Bryant Thomas delivered a rendition of the pop star’s “Champagne Problems” from her 2020 album Evermore.
The contestants slated to perform Swift songs on April 27 are Daniel Stallworth, Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, Chris Tungseth, Hannah Harper, Brooks Rosser and Braden Rumfelt.

The top seven emerged on the April 20 episode, when the nine remaining contenders performed various Disney hits for the themed night, including tracks from The Lion King and Hannah Montana: The Movie. Featuring guest judge Jennifer Hudson, the episode ultimately resulted in contestants Lucas Leon and Kyndal Inskeep being sent home.
American Idol airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and is available to stream on Hulu the following day.
