When she asked her social media followers on Sunday, Adam Lambert, Paris Hilton and more begged her to drop it. Hours before she made the announcement, UFC fighter Julian Marquez tweeted that if Cyrus dropped her cover on digital platforms as highly requested, he would walk out to it on Nov. 14.
Following her iHeartRadio Festival performance on Sept. 19, Blondie’s lead singer Debbie Harry gave it the new wave band’s stamp of approval. “We think @MileyCyrus nailed it,” the official Blondie Twitter account wrote.
