STAND UP TO CANCER featured James Corden and Michael Buble in a special instalment of Carpool Karaoke and the singer broke down in tears as he spoke about his son Noah’s cancer diagnosis.
Stand Up To Cancer is on Channel 4 this evening and it featured a heartbreaking moment with singer Michael Buble.
The singer spoke James about his son’s cancer diagnosis and the star noted it was hard to speak about.
“Well, I mean, it’s so hard to have to acknowledge it because it’s so painful to talk about it,” he said.
“But we got the diagnosis, and that was it. My whole life ended.”
Michael added: “He was three. Listen, it was not good. At first, it was… It’s too hard to talk about.”
The 43-year-old began to cry as he appeared to struggle to open up about the ordeal.
“Basically, they said it wasn’t great, and we just took it day by day,” he continued.
“My sister’s, my wife’s family, they all took their kids out of school, and we just had the best doctors. And God, thank you, Jesus Christ,”
James also teared up as he replied: “I can’t begin to imagine what it feels like in that moment.”
“I’m not OK,” Michael said to James whilst in the car.
“My wife, honestly, when this all started, I became the strength to pull us up and lift us to be positive.
“When we got the chemo out, I just, just fell. I fell, and now my wife lifts me up now,” he finished.
Michael then explained how he believed his son was a real-life superhero.
“I always say to him that Spiderman, Superman, they’re amazing, but they’re not real. You’re the real superhero,” he said.
Michael then spoke directly to the viewers and implored them to donate as much money as they could to the cause.
“Call, just do it, because there’s nothing better in the whole world when you give that way,” he asked.
“There’s hope and treatments and medicines that will be discovered because of you.
“All of us can completely make that difference,” he finished.
Michael Buble’s son, Noah Buble, was diagnosed with liver cancer hepatoblastoma back in October 2016.
The Canadian singer had talked about the horrible ordeal before, saying that it was the “worst possible thing” he could have ever gone through as a parent.
