Jelly Roll Makes His Late Night Hosting Debut On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

This week, Jelly Roll stepped in as a guest host for two nights on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The opportunity was a full-circle moment for the “Save Me” singer, because Kimmel’s show was the first late-night show to ever interview him.

On his first night as guest host, Jelly Roll made the most of it. The show had a lot of big moments, including interviews with Jeremy Renner and WWE wrestler Randy Orton.

Things even got a little wild at one point when Logan Paul crashed the set, and the 40-year-old ended up slamming him through a desk.

But one of the best parts came at the very beginning when Jelly Roll opened the show with an 11-minute monologue.

Listen To The Playful Jab Made About Post Malone

The four-time Grammy-nominated artist’s monologue was packed with jokes, including plenty where he poked fun at himself.

“Now y’all know every guest gets on here, and they say it’s great to be here. But I want to talk to y’all. Speaking as a guy who has been to prison before, it really is great to be here…Actually, it’s kind of great to be anywhere. Hell, I walked into a DMV yesterday, and I was like, ‘This is f***ing awesome. God, this is great.’”

He even made sure to slip in a playful dig at fellow country artist Post Malone.

“I need y’all to be patient with me tonight,” he told the audience. “This is my first time doing something like this, and I’m going to try my best. I am. But if I really suck bad, y’all just remember…my name is Post Malone.”

Of course, the jab was all in good fun. He and Post Malone are actually close friends in real life.

The two have collaborated before on the song “Losers” and are currently touring together for their Big Ass Stadium Tour.

They just wrapped up the U.S. leg of their co-headlining tour and will begin a run of shows in Europe next month.
