Another incredible benefit show were fans can support from the comfort of their own homes.

On the 4th of July, parts of South and Central Texas, especially Kerr County, were ravaged by floodwaters, sweeping away people, homes, and communities. Families are mourning their loved ones as the death toll rises, and the affected communities are still identifying what they need to rebuild. Since the horrific event, we have seen country music’s outpour to help rebuild the communities by putting on a handful of benefit concerts.

Many artists have announced or put on benefit shows. George Strait’s ‘Strait To The Heart’ concert raised $6.5 million and counting, Pat Green raised over $1 million through his virtual concert held at Globe Life Field, Koe Wetzel’s show raised over $750,000, and Josh Weathers quickly organized a virtual show that surpassed $500,000.

There are still many more concerts to come. One of those quickly approaching is the benefit show, officially dubbed Band Together Texasorganized by Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollumThe star-studded benefit concert slated to take place on Sunday, August 17th at the Moody Center in Austin, will benefit The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, the leading charity behind the ongoing flood relief efforts, and the Central Texas Community Foundation.

The show will feature the Lone Star State’s best talent, including Lambert and McCollum, as well as performances by Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall, and the Randy Rogers Band.

Today, Band Together Texas announced that it will offer a livestream for those unable to attend. We’ve seen many other benefit shows offer this viewing option, like Koe Wetzel’s already held performance and Robert Earl Keen’s upcoming show.

It’s a great option for fans to tune in and donate even if they cannot attend the event in person. As Miranda Lambert mentioned in this announcement, there are still tickets available for this concert, so if you’re looking for a fun trip to Austin filled with great music, this is definitely a show to consider going to.

“Y’all we’re going to livestream our Band Together Texas flood relief benefit concert so everyone can be a part of an incredible night of music and healing. If you’re in Texas, we still have a few tickets left, too. Support at bandtogethertexas.com”

When the show was announced, Miranda said their goal is to bring some hope to those whose lives were destroyed by the flooding:

“One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood. There is so much devastation and loss, yet what’s given me hope are the stories of those that have come to the aid of so many.

That’s what we want to do with Band Together: Texans helping Texas. We hope it is a night that helps with healing while raising awareness and funds for The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.”

The evening will also feature tributes to first responders and flood victims, including stories of rescue and resilience shared on stage by emergency personnel.

Parker adds:

“The flooding in the Hill Country of Texas is truly heartbreaking. This place and these people are my community. There is a long road ahead rebuilding and even though so many families are facing the unimaginable, we’re Texas strong.

Miranda is inspiring in both her music and how big her heart is, and I’m honored to be joining her for this benefit concert to support our fellow Texans and share a night of healing through music.”

Music is healing, and it’s incredible to see all these amazing artists not only support each other’s endeavors but also bring so much awareness to Texas flood victims.
