So what really happened during the proposal — and why is everyone talking about the moment the world didn’t see? Full video below 👇

It’s a love story and Taylor Swift just said yes.

Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement with a glossy Instagram photoshoot on Tuesday.

‘Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married,’ Swift penned under a series of pictures showcasing Kelce down on one knee amid a sea of flowers, and the singer’s massive diamond ring, designed by Kindred Lubeck of Arifex Fine Jewellery and estimated to cost up to $1 million.

‘Travis 100 percent planned this by himself,’ an insider exclusively tells the Daily Mail, adding that the Kansas City Chiefs star has ‘had a plan for a long time now’ for how he would propose.

‘He wanted it to be completely traditional,’ the insider said. ‘That he would choose the ring and ask for her to marry him.’

‘Based on what he’s told me, she would want the whole thing to be traditional, too. She wants him to take the lead,’ the insider added.

It’s a love story and Taylor Swift just said yes. Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement with a glossy Instagram photoshoot on Tuesday

‘Travis 100 percent planned this by himself,’ an insider exclusively tells the Daily Mail, adding that the Kansas City Chiefs star has ‘had a plan for a long time now’ for how he would propose.

It is understood that the couple’s friends are not surprised by the happy news.

‘Travis literally always said she’s the girl he’s going to marry,’ the insider said. ‘[He has] been saying that for a long time, really since the beginning.’

In fact, for a while, friends have jokingly been calling Kelce ‘Mr. Taylor Swift,’ which the football player thoroughly approves of.

So much so that he’s said to quip back in response: ‘I’ll be her other half. I’ll be the little lady.’

When the time came, and as is tradition, Kelce first sought the permission of Swift’s parents, 73-year-old Scott and 67-year-old Andrea Swift.

‘It was of extreme importance to do that, because he wanted it to mean something for everyone involved,’ our insider said. ‘This is a dream for him, and he knows that Taylor always wanted to get married.’

A source close to Kelce’s mother Donna, 72, reveals that both families gave their blessing for the engagement.

‘Donna is delighted, and says that everyone in her family adores Taylor and they love her family as well,’ the source said.

‘This was a family affair. Both families love and respect the other, and both knew ahead of time what was up. It doesn’t seem like Taylor knew when it was going to happen, but everyone else did.

‘Donna says that after it happened, everyone started to text and call each other. Everyone in Travis family is overjoyed.’

After seeking the blessing of their families, Kelce turned to friends for advice on how to plan the proposal.

‘He’s a romantic,’ our first insider said, revealing that whenever any of his friends got engaged or married he’d always make sure to ask for every detail, which led to lots of ribbing. ‘We’d be like, “Is that for your Pinterest?”‘

A source told Page Six on Tuesday that the tight end actually proposed to Swift ‘a couple of weeks ago’. The exact date is not yet known.

The singer's massive diamond ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck of Arifex Fine Jewellery and is estimated to cost up to $1 million.

As for the wedding itself, Kelce plans on being just as involved and already has plenty of ‘thoughts’ about his dream wedding day.

While Swift is certainly famous for meticulous planning when it comes to grand rollouts of her new music, it seems her husband-to-be will be in the driving seat for their upcoming nuptials.

‘If there’s any guy who has a scrapbook about his dream wedding, it’s TK,’ our source said. ‘It’s going to be the wedding of the century.’

A third source revealed that, while friends weren’t shocked at the engagement news, some were ‘surprised when it happened’ because many of those close to them believed it would happen ‘some time after the [upcoming NFL] season.’

‘Travis couldn’t wait anymore,’ our insider explained, adding that he ‘couldn’t contain himself’ after Swift ended her mammoth 21-month Eras Tour in December.

❌😮 Just last night, in a moment that sent shockwaves through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Mark Knopfler emerged from the shadows mid-ceremony — guitar in hand — as Cyndi Lauper froze mid-sentence, visibly stunned. ‘You didn’t tell me you were coming,’ she gasped, her mic still live, as the audience erupted in disbelief. The lights dimmed, a hush swept over the room, and without another word, the two legends turned toward each other. Then came the first note — soft, trembling — Knopfler’s signature tone slicing through the silence. Lauper took a shaky breath before whispering the opening line of ‘Time After Time’. The melody unfolded like a memory neither could escape. Knopfler’s guitar seemed to cry; Lauper’s voice cracked with emotion, every word dripping with the weight of years gone by. Halfway through, the giant screen behind them flickered to life — grainy footage of their 1980s glory days: Dire Straits on tour, Lauper in neon lights, and a brief shot of them laughing backstage at Live Aid. JOHN DENVER’S FINAL SONG… NO ONE KNEW IT WAS GOODBYE. He walked on stage the way he always did — calm, kind, and carrying that quiet light that made the world feel smaller, warmer. No fireworks.
