A couple things happened on September 30: 1) News broke that Keith Urban is dating someone new amid his split from Nicole Kidman, and 2) Nicole went ahead and filed for divorce.
And according to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, she thinks Keith’s closest friends were keeping his infidelity a secret for him.
“Nicole feels blindsided not just by Keith but by the silence of the whole group,” a source says. “She can’t understand how no one gave her even a hint—not Blake, not anyone.”
Apparently chatter about of Keith’s “late nights and mysterious disappearances” were swirling for months, and another insider says that “Looking back, Nicole sees it now. The jokes, the awkward pauses, the looks—they were signs. She just didn’t want to believe them. She thought they were her friends too. Now she feels betrayed by the whole world Keith came from.”
FYI, a source previously told ShuterScoop that “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is.” Another added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories, she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore.
