counter hit xanga No one in the crowd saw it coming. One moment, Jelly Roll was tearing through his set under the hot Australian night sky — and the next, he was grinning like a man with a secret. The “Son of a Sinner” singer had already surprised fans by bringing opening act Drew Baldridge back onstage for their now-legendary duet of Garth Brooks’ ’90s anthem “Friends in Low Places.” But on November 6 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, something totally unexpected happened: Jelly and Baldridge pulled out fistfuls of cash — real cash — and started handing out $100 bills to kids in the audience. And there was only one rule: 👉 You had to sing the lyrics to “Friends in Low Places” — perfectly. What followed was pure chaos and pure joy. Kids in oversized merch shirts jumped up on their seats, screaming the words at the top of their lungs. Parents couldn’t stop laughing. Security couldn’t believe what they were watching. And Jelly Roll? He stood at the edge of the stage, pointing into the crowd like a game-show host choosing contenders. “YOU KNOW THE SECOND VERSE? COME ON THEN!” he shouted, waving another bill in the air… WATCH VIDEO BELOW 👇👇 -

JELLY Roll Gives $100 Cash To Kids Who Know Lyrics To Garth Brooks “Friends In Low Places”Jelly Roll Australia

Jelly Roll recently concluded his “Down Under” 2025 Tour, which included performances across Australia and New Zealand.

Jelly has really been enjoying himself while traveling internationally. Not only did the tour mark a significant milestone in his career, particularly after years of being unable to travel internationally due to past legal issues, but the “Save Me” singer also had the unique opportunity to encounter and hold several rare and remarkably endearing local animals.

In a video shared by a fan account dedicated to Jelly and his wife Bunnie Xo, he’s seen meeting some furry friends, including a koala, a wombat, and a baby quokka

During select dates on the tour, he was joined by Drew Baldridge as an opening act. At those shows, the two artists treated audiences to a joint performance of Garth Brooks’ iconic 1990s hit, “Friends in Low Places.”

On November 6, during the “Son of a Sinner” singer’s performance at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Australia, which also featured supporting acts Shaboozey and Busby Marou, Jelly and Baldridge decided to distribute wads of cash to members of the audience.

“One of the most giving humans on the planet 🙏 ,” Baldridge wrote of Jelly Roll.

A video posted to Baldridge’s Instagram page documented the touching gesture, showing him waving a stack of dollar bills while onstage before announcing his intention to give the money to the children gathered in the front row.

There was, however, one stipulation: Jelly turned the moment into a contest and instructed one of his bandmates to determine whether the full amount would be awarded to a single recipient or divided among several children.

“I happen to have a couple thousand dollars of Australian money right here,” Jelly Roll explains.

Directing Baldridge where to hand out the money, he says: “… .if Jack’s right, you’ve gotta hand him these two thousand dollars. If Jack’s wrong, I want you to jump out here and give away these two thousand dollars to some kids right here in the front row.”

Just before departing the stage, Jelly Roll signaled to his guitarist, who responded by launching into the iconic opening riff of “Friends in Low Places.” The crowd erupted in applause, making it clear that the winners of the challenge were the children.

One of the recipients of the cash posted on TikTok, sharing the moment was a “blessing beyond words.”

“Still trying to wrap my heart around what happened last night 💜,” the fan wrote. “To witness my grandson — my first grandchild — at just 3 years old, attending his second big concert in his short little lifetime, was already a blessing beyond words. But to see him receive $100 cash personally from Jelly Roll himself, handed to him by Drew Baldridge… that was a moment we’ll never forget. 🙌🎶.”
