counter hit xanga When Dierks Bentley stepped back and let his 17-year-old daughter take center ice, it wasn’t just another national anthem — it felt like a quiet milestone no one quite expected to hit this hard. On January 13, fans inside the Nashville Predators arena watched as Evie Bentley walked out alone, microphone in hand, shoulders steady but eyes focused. There were no backup singers. No safety net. Just a teenager carrying a song that means everything — and a crowd that didn’t yet realize they were about to witness a full-circle moment. From the first note, something shifted. This wasn’t a novelty appearance or a famous dad’s introduction. Evie sang with control, confidence, and a calm that felt earned. The kind that comes from growing up around music, but also from choosing when — and how — to step into it herself. By the time she reached the final line, the arena was silent, locked in, before erupting into applause. For longtime fans of Dierks Bentley, the moment hit deeper. They’ve seen this story start before. Back in 2012, when Evie was just four years old, Bentley first brought her onstage — tiny, fearless, singing beside her dad as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Over the years, there were more appearances: a song here, a harmony there. Sweet moments that felt like family memories accidentally shared with an audience… WATCH VIDEO BELOW 👇 -

On January 13, Dierks Bentley’s 17-year-old daughter, Evie, made a rare public appearance when she sang the national anthem at the Nashville Predators hockey game.

If you’re a longtime fan, you know that Dierks’ oldest daughter has always had a knack for singing. Over the years, he’s brought her on stage at different shows to sing a few songs with him.

Those moments even go all the way back to 2012, when Evie was just four years old.

Still, fans don’t see Dierks’ kids in the public eye very often. However, this most recent occasion was extra special. The night also happened to be Dierks Bentley bobblehead night at the arena.

The “Beers On Me” singer has been a devoted fan of the Nashville team for many years, so he was honored with a bobblehead that was handed out to the first 10,000 fans at the game.

Evie stepped onto the ice wearing a jersey with “Bentley” printed in bold on the back. According to a video shared by Music Mayhem Magazine, Dierks was watching his daughter’s performance from the dasher boards.

Even though his face isn’t shown, it’s probably safe to say he was smiling from ear to ear while watching Evie’s big moment.

Evie definitely proved once again that talent runs in the family. She absolutely nailed it by delivering a beautiful, traditonal version of the national anthem, leaving everyone impressed with her strong vocals.

Fans loved her performance and flooded the video with sweet comments praising how well she did. A few messages that were left include:

“She’s got some pipes! Great job kiddo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

“Love it! She enunciated each word and didn’t make it weird. Nice job.”

“So impressive! — what a star she is! 🙌

“Omg I have goosebumps 😍👏👏👏👏
