Game, start! After a banner year with Billboard Hot 100 hit “APT.,” ROSÉ and Bruno Mars brought their drinking-game-turned-smash-hit to the Grammys stage on Sunday (Feb. 1).
Taking the stage in matching black-and-white outfits — with the BLACKPINK singer in a dapper white tank, tie and slacks — the duo opened the program, getting the audience up on their feet and jumping within just minutes of the Grammys starting. “Don’t you want me like I want you, baby?/ Don’t you need me like I need you now?” ROSÉ sang with a big smile as Mars shredded on electric guitar next to her, their onstage chemistry palpable. “Sleep tomorrow, but tonight go crazy/ All you gotta do is just meet me at the.”

With their performance in the books, the K-pop superstar and Silk Sonic hitmaker would go on to wait and see whether “APT.” would scoop either of the major category nominations it was up for. It was also up for best pop duo/group performance, which Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo won for Wicked duet “Defying Gravity” before the televised ceremony began.
While Mars already had 16 Grammys and 36 career nominations going into this year’s ceremony, 2026 marked the first time ROSÉ was ever nominated — as well as the first time any K-pop soloist ever scored nods in the general field categories. “APT.” was also in the running for record of the year and song of the year.
Beyond making Recording Academy history, “APT.” also dominated Billboard‘s charts throughout 2025. The carefree, uptempo track — which was inspired by a Korean drinking game — spent a total of 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100.
