Carrie Underwood is taking the wheel.
The country music superstar, 42, stunned fans on Friday, January 23 when she revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she won’t be touring in 2026.
Instead, a source tells Star, she’ll be using that time to focus on her marriage to husband Mike Fisher and bond with their two young children, sons Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 7.
“Carrie is totally drained right now, both physically and emotionally,” admits the source. “For the past several years, she’s been packing her calendar and pushing herself to the limit, which has meant long spells on the road and away from Mike.”
The retired NHL player, 45, has “been a trouper,” notes the source. “But [he] is at a point now where he desperately wants his wife back.”
Between her Las Vegas concert residency at the Resorts World Theatre and her gig as a judge on American Idol, Underwood was super busy in 2025.
“[Mike] and others in Carrie’s life have been urging her to stop chasing the dollar and appreciate what she has in Tennessee,” says Star’s source. “The farm is like a paradise and yet, she rarely gets to appreciate it.”

That’s going to change, of course.
“Carrie’s going to give in and do a ton of outdoor stuff now there’s time on her hands,” reveals the source, like tending to her garden and the animals. “[She’s also] longing to recharge her batteries and re-asses what’s most important to her right now, starting first and foremost with her marriage.”
