A woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing several shots with a rifle at the Beverly Hills mansion of pop star Rihanna, with one bullet piercing a wall of the home, a law enforcement source told the Post.
Authorities are now working to determine a motive. A source told the Post that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna ‘don’t know much’ and they’re in the dark as to why this happened.
Photos from the scene showed yellow police tape outside the singer’s home. LAPD officers were also seen closing off the street near the star’s property.

Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting. Los Angeles police said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. and quickly took a female suspect into custody.
A source close to the family told the Post, ‘they are all doing okay.’ No one was injured, according to LAPD.
A$AP Rocky was not home at the time of the shooting, a family source confirmed to the Post.
Police say the suspect fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. Four of the rounds struck the house. Investigators were seen examining an Airstream trailer parked in the home’s driveway according to NBC LA.

LAPD radio dispatch said several shots were fired at the home from a vehicle parked across the street from the property’s gate. The suspect then sped off in a white Tesla, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive, according to the dispatch audio.
As police searched for the Tesla, they relayed details over the radio: the suspect’s hair was in braids; she wore a cream-colored blouse; her car was dirty on the bottom, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The suspect was later caught and arrested at a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks about 30 minutes after the 911 call came in, according to the Times. She has been described as a 30-year-old woman by the LA Times, other outlets describe her as a woman in her 30s.
Some of those who live in the neighborhood heard the shots being fired.
“I was just washing dishes in my house, and I heard shots,” Isabel Thorne told the Post. “I was a little shocked. You know, we don’t hear that kind of thing in this neighborhood.”
“It’s pretty quiet. It sounded just like a loud pop. So we’re kind of shocked. I don’t know what to think. I just heard, like, one shot,” Thorne said.
“It was really loud, and everything echoes in this valley, so you can hear everything out here. Even when someone has a party, you can hear the music, you know, a shot. It’s not something you expect,” she said.
“We have a neighborhood chat, so everybody started hearing the police scanners saying there was gunshots,” Thorne told the Post.
“There’s always these tour buses coming up and down, so everybody here knows that Rihanna lives there,” she continued. “Nobody should have to deal with being in fear in your own home. I see people going in and out, but the street is pretty quiet. You know, it’s just LA. Unfortunately, it’s become something that’s normal.”
Another neighbor, Keith England, told the Post, “I didn’t see anything. I heard. I was working on music, minding my own business, middle of the afternoon, and then bam, bam, and it’s like, it’s a pretty unmistakable sound. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, like probably ten shots.”
“It’s just one of those things, it’s like, that’s not a car backfiring, that’s not fireworks, that’s somebody shooting a gun, as it turns out it was,” England said.
“I came running out, we both said, did you hear that? I said, ‘hit the floor,’ because you never know how close it is,” he continued.
“You know, you could always get hit by a… I didn’t think they were shooting at me, but you never know. And that was it. And then it was a pretty good while before the police got here.”
“You don’t usually expect for there to be drive-by shootings in a place like this, but they’re everywhere now,” he continued.
“We did know, you know, who lives up there and thought, hmm, I wonder if it’s got anything to do with that, but, which it turns out it did,” England said.
“I feel really bad for them because it’s like they just can’t get any peace. And so that was obviously a thought,” he said. “It was scary but you know I can’t imagine being in the house because you’re hearing the bullets hitting and that sort of stuff so yeah that was scary and police I mean they made that arrest pretty quick.”
The singer reportedly lives in a colonial-style mansion in Beverly Hills’ Post Office neighborhood with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky — share kids RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and 5-month-old Rocki Irish Mayers. It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone else was inside the home when the shots were fired.
LAPD said investigators from its Robbery-Homicide Division will handle the case.

In February 2025, A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was found not guilty on two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm after he was accused of shooting at his onetime friend and bandmate following a heated argument in 2021.
After a three-week trial, the jury acquitted Mayers, despite Los Angeles County prosecutors portraying him as a violent assailant who allegedly shot his childhood friend, rapper Terell Ephron, during an argument.
Rihanna purchased the $13.8 million mansion in 2021. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate stands at 7,600 square feet in the same neighborhood as homes belonging to the likes of Mariah Carey, Madonna and Paul McCartney.
This is not the first time the Grammy-winning superstar has endured a scare at home.

Back in 2018, a 27-year-old man broke into Rihanna’s Hollywood Hills residence after hopping a fence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The alleged intruder — identified by prosecutors as Eduardo Leon — slipped inside the property while the singer was away and camped out in the house for roughly 12 hours before finally being discovered by one of her assistants.
Leon later pleaded no contest to stalking and was slapped with a 10-year stay-away order, barring him from going anywhere near the pop icon.
Since welcoming her firstborn, Rihanna has confessed she would “not play” when it comes to her kids, saying she took a page from Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.
“She will flatten you about those kids,” she told Teen Vogue in 2022. “And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be.”

Rihanna — whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty — rose to prominence in the early 2000s with hit songs like Pon de Replay and Umbrella.
Since then, she has expanded beyond music, turning her success into a major business venture. Through her Fenty label, she has built a global brand that includes cosmetics, fashion and lingerie.
