Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert and Brian May were performing at London\u2019s Hammersmith Apollo in 2012 when the newly appointed Queen frontman brought the drummer on stage for a stunning duet.<\/p>\n

It was 2012 and\u00a0Adam Lambert\u00a0was finding his feet as the new frontman of\u00a0Queen.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0alum had played just a handful of gigs leading the iconic band when he found himself headlining three sold-out shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.<\/p>\n

Taking to the stage on July 14 and in a nod of respect to the\u00a0Queen\u00a0drummer, Adam Lambert invited\u00a0Roger Taylor\u00a0to join him on stage for a special performance of \u2018Under Pressure\u2019.<\/p>\n

Adam Lambert had joined Queen for the first time in 2011 after the band\u00a0saw him perform \u2018Whole Lotta Love\u2019 by Led Zeppelin live on\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>back in 2009.<\/p>\n

The supergroup played a special performance in November 2011 at the MTV Europe Awards in Belfast before talks began in December for Adam to officially join Queen as their new frontman.<\/p>\n

After their first date in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2012\u00a0Queen + Adam Lambert\u00a0embarked on a mini tour of Europe with dates in Moscow and Wroc\u0142aw, Poland before finishing with three nights at the Apollo in London.<\/p>\n

Queen\u00a0and\u00a0Adam Lambert\u00a0have since toured the world numerous times including dates in South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and extensive North American concerts.<\/p>\n

Their last appearance before the COVID-19 pandemic was at the\u00a0Fire Fight Australia<\/em>\u00a0concert in Sydney in February 2019, in aid of raising money and awareness for the Australian bushfire season.<\/p>\n

The trio played the same set list\u00a0Queen played at Live Aid in 1985\u00a0\u2013 the most famous performance in Queen\u2019s history, immortalised on screen in the movie\u00a0Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Since the pandemic hit in March 2020,\u00a0Brian May,\u00a0Roger Taylor\u00a0and\u00a0Adam Lambert\u00a0performed a series of\u00a0lockdown gigs from the comfort of their homes\u00a0and in October, Queen released a new album\u00a0Live Around The World\u00a0<\/em>which shot to number one, giving them their first top spot album in 25 years.<\/p>\n
