Their names and ages have not been made public.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cThe school bus was transporting students on a field trip. Tragically, two students on the bus were killed,\u201d said the THP. \u201cSeveral others were injured, with multiple airlifted to trauma centers in Nashville and Memphis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_11-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">The cause of the crash is currently being investigated. \u201cWe are working to gather all facts before releasing additional details,\u201d the THP said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">THP Major Travis Plotzer confirmed at a press conference on March 27 that five adults and more than 20 students were on board the school bus when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">He added that two adults were in the TDOT truck, and one person was in the passenger vehicle, per\u00a0WSMV 4 Nashville.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">The identities of the others involved in the tragedy have also not been made public.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cOur hearts are with the families impacted by this devastating loss.
