\u201cLove on the Spectrum\u201d couple Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman have reportedly split after nearly five years together.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly, it\u2019s true that David and Abbey broke up,\u201d an insider\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the US Sun Thursday. \u201cThey couldn\u2019t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago, he still needed time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source said Isaacman was \u201cdoing very well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair first met on Season 1 of the\u00a0Netflix series<\/a>\u00a0back in 2021, which follows adults with\u00a0autism<\/a>\u00a0navigating dating. Viewers watched their relationship begin during a first date at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where they quickly hit it off.<\/p>\n

As recently as July 2025, the couple celebrated their fourth anniversary, with Isaacman gifting Romeo a diamond bracelet from Brilliant Earth.<\/p>\n

Despite the reported split being linked to disagreements about marriage, Romeo had previously suggested they weren\u2019t in a rush.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe already feel like we\u2019re already married in our hearts,\u201d she\u00a0said<\/a>, per People.<\/p>\n

She also opened up about her fears around marriage, explaining she didn\u2019t want to \u201crush\u201d into it after seeing her parents\u2019\u00a0divorce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, she admitted to her mom, Christine, that she wanted \u201cto be a bride so badly.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Season 4, released April 1, the topic came up again when co-stars Madison Marilla and Tyler White got engaged.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully we\u2019re next!\u201d Romeo told Isaacman.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can only be engaged whenever the time is right,\u201d he responded.<\/p>\n

Romeo has previously spoken about what made their relationship work, pointing to their shared experiences with autism and synesthesia, which \u201cis a phenomenon that causes sensory crossovers, such as tasting colors or feeling sounds,\u201d per the Cleveland Clinic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand each other [and] the way our minds work,\u201d she\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0\u201cToday\u201d in 2025. \u201cWe\u2019re kind and patient with each other and we\u2019re our true selves.\u201d<\/p>\n
