Ruby Rose, a prominent Australian actress and model, best known for her role on the hit show\u00a0Orange is the New Black,<\/em>\u00a0has come out with allegations of sexual\u00a0assault<\/a>\u00a0against Katy Perry.<\/p>\n

The model posted a reply to a post on threads, writing, \u201cIn the comments, Rose wrote, \u201cKaty Perry s*xual a**aulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sh*t what she thinks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ruby Rose and Katy Perry have, in the past, also been involved in an online feud.\u00a0In 2017, Rose criticized the song\u00a0Swish Swish\u00a0<\/em>by Perry, which was at the time believed to be a diss track aimed at\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/a>, with whom Rose was good friends.<\/p>\n

The model and actress accused Perry of being a bully and said that she personally felt \u2018triggered\u2019 by people who were not held accountable.<\/p>\n

Now, almost a decade since that, Rose has made major accusations against Perry. After she posted the initial reply with the claim of the\u00a0s*xual assault<\/a>, someone tried to make a crude joke in reply to Rose, writing, \u201cShe kissed a girl, and you didn\u2019t like it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Rose responded to the comment, relaying everything she alleges happened, \u201cShe didn\u2019t kiss me. She saw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friend\u2019s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side, and rubbed her disgusting v**ina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then shared that she had publicly only talked about this as a \u2018funny little drunk story\u2019 as she did not know what else to do at the time.<\/p>\n

She shared that she kept everything private because Perry later helped her to later get a U.S. visa. She recalled her hesitation, writing, \u201cI was only in my early 20s. I\u2019m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThough I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact\u00a0trauma and s**ual a**ault\u00a0takes\u2026 But I DID tell yall she wasn\u2019t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

She shared why she was opening up about it now, saying that she needed to \u201cget it out of [her] body.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to write, \u201cBefore I open up about something incredibly raw and traumatic, I tell myself \u2018it\u2019s ok, you don\u2019t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer. But then I see this post and \u2026 tears consume me, in a good way. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is not the first time\u00a0Katy Perry<\/a>\u00a0has been accused of inappropriate behavior. In 2012, footage of her touching Justin Bieber\u2019s backside while backstage in London circulated online. At the time Bieber was 18, while she was 28.<\/p>\n

In 2017, a video of her touching Shawn Mendes during an interview made rounds online. The moment caught the 18-year-old\u00a0singer<\/a>\u00a0by surprise as he visibly reacted on camera.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Perry attracted criticism after she kissed contestant Benjamin Glaze on\u00a0American Idol,<\/em>\u00a0which he later said made him uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

Perry has spoken up about the accusations in the past, she said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to say \u2018guilty until proven innocent\u2019 but there\u2019s no checks and balances: a headline just flies, right? And there\u2019s no investigation of what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

She ended by saying, \u201cI don\u2019t comment on all the things that are said about me because if I chase that dragon, it would be about true and false-ing my whole life. It\u2019s distracting from the real movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

A representative for Perry has responded to the\u00a0claims<\/a>\u00a0and denied them in a statement. They said, \u201cThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.\u201d<\/p>\n
