Kelly Clarkson\u00a0is celebrating a huge milestone of her\u00a0namesake talk show\u00a0by getting personal with fans about the ups and downs of life in the spotlight. Taking the stage for her 1,000th episode on March 20, the \u201cBecause of You\u201d singer told her audience they had \u201ccreated a community and supported each other through a lot of ups and downs,\u201d adding that she had experienced \u201ca lot of ups and downs personally as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The host then added, \u201cI\u2019ve lost, alone, a lot.\u201d Audience members were left to wonder whether or not this was a veiled reference to her recent unexplained absence from the show, or perhaps to her 2020 divorce from her former manager\u00a0Brandon Blackstock.<\/p>\n

It has been such a cool time. Thank you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since then, the series has hosted the likes of\u00a0Jessica Alba,\u00a0Hailee Steinfeld,\u00a0Ben Affleck,\u00a0Selena Gomez, and\u00a0Dwyane Wade. For her 1,000th episode, Clarkson sang a rendition of\u00a0Whitney Houston\u2019s \u201cI Have Nothing,\u201d after which she interviewed\u00a0Madea<\/em>\u00a0creator\u00a0Tyler Perry.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the longtime host spoke with\u00a0People<\/em>\u00a0in an exclusive interview, during which she reflected on a few of those \u201cups and downs\u201d mentioned on March 20. \u201cI was going through a really rough few years, and even in the first season it was\u00a0rough behind closed doors,\u201d\u00a0Clarkson told the publication. \u201cJust to be able to come into season five feeling good and knowing my kids feel good\u2014and the dust has settled.
