Riley Green\u00a0strolled into his first acting gig on last night\u2019s episode of\u00a0Marshals<\/em>, and it\u2019s safe to say the country star left an impression on fans.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0spinoff is chronicling Kayce Dutton\u2019s life after stepping away from his family\u2019s ranch to join the U.S. Marshals, and the CBS drama is a certified hit. It\u2019s already been\u00a0renewed for a second season,\u00a0which is expected to air in the fall.<\/p>\n

But first, viewers got to meet Riley Green\u2019s character Garrett, a troubled friend from Kayce\u2019s past. The two served together in the Navy SEALs, and Garrett has had a difficult time dealing with the transition into life as a musician. He says he\u2019s been \u201cin and out of jail, psych wards, rehab, sleeping on the streets.\u201d In an emotional scene, Kayce holds Garrett as he deals with a PTSD-induced nightmare.<\/p>\n

Like Riley, Garrett is a country singer from Alabama, and the character jokes, \u201cThe only good thing to come out of [Alabama] is I-20, myself included.\u201d<\/p>\n

Riley\u2019s fans will know that he meant no harm by poking fun at Alabama, but he told\u00a0USA TODAY, \u201cI certainly need to clarify that. One thing about my fans, especially my Alabama fans: They know how I feel about being from here, and I am proud of this area where I\u2019m from.\u201d<\/p>\n
