Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani have been divorced nearly 10 years, but he still has fond memories of their time together.<\/p>\n
Rossdale, 59, reflected on his and Stefani\u2019s shared home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles while sitting down with Jesse Tyler Ferguson for the Tuesday, March 18, episode of the \u201cDinner\u2019s on Me\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n
Oh, [I had] unbelievable memories because that was such an exciting time,\u201d Rossdale said of the shared house while learning Ferguson, 49, lived there after he and Stefani, 55, sold it. \u201cI was there for a number of years when we just were together. I was there when we first got married. We had our first kid there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bush singer continued to share rare insight into his time with Stefani\u00a0before their 2015 split, praising her design aesthetic in their L.A. pad. \u201cGwen did a beautiful job on the nursery,\u201d Rossdale recalled. \u201cThat house has fantastic memories.\u201d<\/p>\n
He remembered hosting \u201camazing\u201d New Year\u2019s Eve parties \u201cevery year\u201d with the\u00a0Voice<\/em>\u00a0coach. \u201cWe never knew what to do, so it was easier to make the party come to us. So fantastic times,\u201d Rossdale said.<\/p>\n The\u00a0British rocker\u00a0noted that when he and Stefani lived in that house it was \u201cright at the height of everything really fun\u201d in his career.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really a great time for us,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo I have a great memory of that house. \u2026 Beautiful time.\u201d<\/p>\n Ferguson agreed that the house was \u201csuch a special place\u201d for him and his husband,\u00a0Justin Mikita<\/strong>, as well, since it was where they welcomed their first child. \u201cI would still get your Restoration Hardware catalog,\u201d he said with a laugh.<\/p>\n Rossdale and Stefani tied the knot in 2002. They went on to\u00a0welcome three sons, Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11, during their marriage. (Rossdale also shares daughter Daisy, 36, with ex\u00a0Pearl Lowe<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n The pair\u00a0announced their separation\u00a0in August 2015 after 13 years of marriage. \u201cWhile the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,\u201d Rossdale and Stefani told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0in a joint statement at the time. \u201cTo that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n The exes finalized their divorce in 2016, and Stefani moved to have the marriage annulled in 2020 after she got engaged to Blake Shelton. Once the annulment was granted by the Catholic church, Stefani and Shelton, 48, got married in July 2021.<\/p>\n Rossdale, who is now dating\u00a0Xhoana Xheneti<\/strong>, has been somewhat quiet about his and Stefani\u2019s divorce over the years. However, he confessed in March 2024 that he regretted not working harder to have a friendship with his ex-wife.<\/p>\n \u201cThe biggest thing would be when you see the kids that sometimes there\u2019s a loss,\u201d Rossdale said during an episode of\u00a0the \u201cAmy and T.J.\u201d podcast. \u201cIt\u2019d be nice if there was sort of more of a connection with the person who made them with me.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0singer added\u00a0that since their split, he made a conscious choice not to speak poorly about Stefani or their relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cLess said, soonest mended and I said nothing,\u201d Rossdale explained. \u201cIt\u2019s not my place to say anything. I\u2019m handcuffed because I would never want to overly say anything negative about their mom. That\u2019s just not right.\u201d<\/p>\n Rossdale has continued to take that approach, speaking only positively about Stefani on the \u201cDinner\u2019s on Me\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d been inspired by Gwen,\u201d he told Ferguson when asked about becoming a solo artist. \u201cShe\u2019d done an amazing job with her solo career.
