The crowd erupted as Lainey joined the duo for a surprise rendition of\u00a0\u201cPlay Something Country.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Though\u00a0Wilson wasn\u2019t listed on the official CMA Fest lineup<\/strong>, her appearance was part of a secret plan tied to her recent collaboration with Brooks & Dunn on\u00a0Reboot II<\/em>, a reimagined album of the duo\u2019s biggest hits.<\/p>\n

Originally released in June 2005,\u00a0Play Something Country<\/em>\u00a0became Brooks & Dunn\u2019s\u00a020th and final No. 1<\/strong>\u00a0on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Wilson\u2019s gritty, powerhouse vocals gave the classic hit a fresh twist, earning cheers and a standing ovation from the massive audience.<\/p>\n
