The couple tied the knot on Oct. 16, 2021, in New York.<\/p>\n

While appearing at the City Harvest\u2019s 40th Anniversary Gala in April 2023, Burrell and Claxton spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about life since becoming husband and wife.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to say, I love being married. We\u2019re together all the time because Stuart works from home. It\u2019s the being together all the time, but it\u2019s also the adventure together,\u201d Burrell said.<\/p>\n

Claxton added, \u201cIt\u2019s been wonderful, to say the least. Anne and I hadn\u2019t lived together before we moved in and got married, so it\u2019s been a whole adventure but very lovely at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burrell and Claxton\u00a0got engaged\u00a0in April 2020 while quarantining with her family in Upstate New York. She shared the details leading up to the special moment exclusively to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom and Stuart got together and made a plan where he and I were going to have a date night. She set up a beautiful table in her apartment, and we just planned a dinner for the two of us,\u201d Burrell said. \u201cWe were having a nice time, and Stuart then starts saying, \u2018Oh, this is a good song to put on a playlist for our wedding reception.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Okay, sure. But why are we talking about that now?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started talking about family and just how nice it was to be here with everyone, so I sort of started getting weepy already,\u201d she recalled. \u201cThen, Stuart pulls a ring out of his pants pocket, and I was like, \u2018Oh my gosh, I can\u2019t believe this is even happening.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

The pair didn\u2019t have to look far for their wedding venue, setting their sights on RedBarn20 at Windridge Estate, located in the bride\u2019s hometown of Cazenovia, New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sister said, \u2018Oh, there\u2019s a venue that\u2019s really great right up the street,\u2019 \u201d Burrell said. \u201cSo my sister and I went and looked at it, and I was like, \u2018Oh, this is it.\u2019 And they had a date open that we wanted. So we booked it right then.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burrell got married with her best girlfriends by her side \u2014 including fellow celebrity chef\u00a0Rachael Ray.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wonderful bridesmaids were amazing,\u201d Burrell\u00a0wrote on Instagram\u00a0in October 2021, tagging her sister, Jane, and friends Aura Carpenter and Melissa Rosenfield.<\/p>\n

Ray welcomed the wedding party to\u00a0her home in Tuscany, Italy, as a \u201cpre-moon\/bachelorette situation\u201d before Burrell and Claxton said, \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burrell arrived down the aisle in a horse and carriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care about the cheese factor. Every time I mention the horse and carriage, Stuart laughs a little bit,\u201d she told PEOPLE. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018Alright, whatever. It\u2019s my moment ,and I mean to have it.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Weeks after the wedding, Burrell reflected on exchanging her vows with her husband during an appearance on the\u00a0Rachael Ray<\/em>\u00a0Show<\/em>\u00a0in October 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wrote our own vows, which I thought were very cute and lovely,\u201d she told host Ray,\u00a0a first-time bridesmaid\u00a0at the event. \u201cAnd when it came to the time when they said I had to say, \u2018I do,\u2019 it just came out of me like, \u2018YES, I DO!\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Her favorite moment from it all?<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just filled with love and happiness and joy and dancing,\u201d Burrell told Ray. \u201cIt just felt like love.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Food Network\u00a0star\u2019s dress was made by\u00a0Carolina Herrera.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually the first dress I tried on,\u201d Burrell said. \u201cIt\u2019s dreamy and romantic, and I feel very classic \u2014 though with an updated twist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burrell previously told PEOPLE, \u201cI\u2019ve loved Carolina Herrera forever because I feel like she knows how to dress real women. You don\u2019t have to be a stick figure, which I\u2019m clearly not, but it still makes you feel beautiful and dreamy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The groom wore a black tuxedo by Ralph Lauren Purple Label.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel very lucky to be wearing such a nice tuxedo,\u201d Claxton said. \u201cIt\u2019s lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for shoes, Claxton and his groomsmen opted for something nostalgic to coordinate with the dresses \u2014 orange Nike high-tops.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted it to be fun and have a sense of whimsy,\u201d Burrell said of the playful sneaker choice.<\/p>\n

Due to the rainy weather, a sailcloth tent served as a gorgeous setting for around 140 guests to watch the couple exchange their vows.<\/p>\n

Autumn d\u00e9cor was a central component of the couple\u2019s wedding theme \u2014 \u201cthe abundance of harvest time\u201d \u2014 with vegetables, herbs and colorful leaves adorning the tablescapes.<\/p>\n

The burnt orange bridesmaid dresses were custom-made because Burrell had difficulty finding exactly what she liked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was looking around at bridesmaid dresses, and everything just sort of seemed shapeless and pastels. And I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s not really my jam,\u2019 \u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Burrell ultimately decided on \u201cclassic 50s-style party dresses\u201d with an A-lined, tea-length skirt.<\/p>\n

Burrell personally perfected the menu with the caterers over many months.<\/p>\n

The starter was a roasted cauliflower steak with cauliflower pur\u00e9e, crispy potato shoestrings with cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche and caviar. The pasta course was a goat-cheese-and-pumpkin ravioli in a sage butter sauce, with frizzled Brussels sprouts leaves, toasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil. For the entr\u00e9e, they chose a duo plate of braised short ribs with a celery root and parsnip pur\u00e9e and herb-and-potato-crusted halibut on a bed of spaghetti squash, with Tuscan kale and pistachio pesto.<\/p>\n

Following dinner, Burrell and Claxton started the party with their first dance to\u00a0Imagine Dragons\u2019 \u201cOn Top of the World.\u201d The pair had the dance choreographed and practiced for weeks so they didn\u2019t \u201clook like a couple of knuckleheads,\u201d Burrell said with a laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople ask me about it, and they\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, you give me hope,\u2019 \u201d Burrell said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018You\u2019ve got to stick with it, and you\u2019ve got to know what you want out of it, and persevere. It\u2019s not like, if you try one or two dates and you don\u2019t meet your prince charming. Oh, forget it. It\u2019s never going to happen. You\u2019ve got to work at it a little bit.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
