Blake Shelton\u2019s \u201cShe\u2019s Got a Way With Words\u201d lyrics were widely interpreted as addressing his 2015 divorce from\u00a0Miranda Lambert, but according to one of the songwriters, he actually put the song on hold months before they even announced their split.<\/p>\n

Andy Albert and Marc Beeson met Wyatt Earp for the first time at a Christmas party the night\u00a0before they all got together to write the song, and Albert laughingly told Taste of Country in 2016 that all three \u201cwere hurtin\u2019 a little bit, but in a good way\u201d when they showed up to work on it.<\/p>\n

They sat down and tossed around ideas for a while, until Albert came out with\u00a0\u201cShe put the her in hurt.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0After that, the song started to happen in earnest.<\/p>\n

The trio put together much of the \u201cShe\u2019s Got a Way With Words\u201d lyrics by just throwing jokes and phrases at each other, many of which ultimately ended up going into the song.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re just laughing over them for two or three hours, and then we started to arrange the different lines and put them together in a way that we thought made some sense,\u201d Albert said.<\/p>\n

They wrote the song over a simple four-chord acoustic guitar progression, while each of the songwriters drew on their own past romantic angst. Albert said they were trying to make the \u201cShe\u2019s Got a Way With Words\u201d lyrics into \u201cthe ultimate breakup song.\u201d<\/p>\n

They finished the song in two sessions, the first of which lasted six hours, trying to make sure everything about it was just the way they wanted it.<\/p>\n

With his sardonic sense of humor, Shelton was at the top of the list of artists they wanted to pitch the song to, and shortly after hearing it, he indicated that he wanted to cut it. He put the song on hold in the early part of 2015, months before he and Lambert announced their divorce that July.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen, unfortunately, he went through all of his personal stuff, the divorce and all of that, and I think the song sort of rang true to him in all that was going on in his life,\u201d Albert added. \u201cI feel like that\u2019s one of the reasons why it made it all the way to the end [of the recording process].\u201d<\/p>\n

Shelton\u2019s recording is pretty similar to the original demo, and in fact features some of the backing vocals that were simply flown over from the demo and added to the master track.<\/p>\n

Since fans so widely interpreted the song as a lyrical slap at Lambert, it not only received widespread radio airplay, but Shelton also performed it during a number of high-profile TV appearances.<\/p>\n

Her fifth and final husband actually played organ during that ceremony, the paper shares. In fact, George Richey\u2019s then-wife was matron of honor. Technically Wynette\u2019s second marriage to Lloyd Amburgey could make this list, as it lasted less than two years, as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The pair wed just days after her divorce to Sonny Bono was finalized, but nine days later, she filed for divorce. The problem was his drinking and heroin use, but he\u2019d win her back.<\/p>\n

And then she\u2019d win him back, he\u2019d win her back again \u2026 yeah, they were a rollercoaster for about three years until finally separating for good in 1978.\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/em>\u00a0commemorated in a neat and tidy way in 1992. They had one son together, Elijah Blue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The exact number of days that passed between Buck Owens\u2019 impulsive, Las Vegas wedding to his fiddle player is not clear but all publications from the time list it as lasting \u201ca few days.\u201d Between three and five seems like a good guess.\u00a0People<\/em>magazine had the most exploratory look at the couple\u2019s romance and the strange, uncomfortable circumstances of their union. Owens makes Porter Wagoner seem downright chivalrous.<\/p>\n

In the spring of 1977,\u00a0Owens was living with the woman who\u2019d eventually become his fourth wife. Jana Rae Greif (who went as just Jana Jae professionally) quit but days later he asked her to marry him. Even though she was aware of his controlling ways she agreed, but the morning after their wedding he told her, (per\u00a0People<\/em>) \u201cI own you lock, stock and barrel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Surprisingly it was Owens who tried to annul the marriage after just a few days, something made public on the radio before Rae had a chance to hear it for herself. He cited \u201cunsound mind\u201d but didn\u2019t specify who he was talking about. There was some back and forth and eventually she cross-filed for annulment. Per\u00a0Roland Note\u00a0he filed for divorce in August of 1977, three months after they married. Later he\u2019d say he wasn\u2019t drunk on anything but her when he went to the alter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
