Why is everyone calling it the most genuine show-stopping duet they\u2019ve ever heard?&#8230; WATCH BELOW \ud83d\udc47"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Texas dream team.<\/p>\n<p>Last night,\u00a0<strong>George Strait<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Chris Stapleton<\/strong>\u00a0packed out SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where\u00a0<strong>Miranda Lambert<\/strong>\u00a0was a special guest of both country stars, first coming out to sing her new duet with Stapleton,\u00a0<strong>\u201cA Song To Sing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<p>But The King himself brought Miranda back out during his set for two beautiful renditions of his hits \u201cRun\u201d and \u201cHow \u2018Bout Them Cowgirls,\u201d two of my absolute favorites\u2026 I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ve ever been so jealous of a crowd at a show, but getting to witness this life is a bucket list moment for sure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whiskeyriff.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Strait-Miranda-770x439.jpg\" alt=\"George Strait and Miranda Lambert in Los Angeles\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<p>Of course, \u201cRun\u201d was the lead single from Strait\u2019s 2001 album\u00a0<em>The Road Less Traveled<\/em>. The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Country Charts three separate times, but was never able to claim the number one spot. \u2018How \u2019bout Them Cowgirls\u2019 was written by Casey Beathard and Ed Hill and released in August of 2007 as the fourth single from Strait\u2019s\u00a0<em>It Just Comes Natural<\/em>\u00a0album. It also peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and #49 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.<\/p>\n<p>Miranda and George have performed them together before, but that was years ago and part of his 2014\u00a0<em>The Cowboy Rides Away Tour: Live from AT&amp;T Stadium,\u00a0<\/em>and we definitely haven\u2019t gotten enough from these two so I\u2019d say it was LONG overdue.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re two mega stars, and these songs\u2026 just timeless.
