Gwen Stefani\u2019s ex husband Gavin Rossdale makes rare comment about their divorce \u2013 after his shock \u2018three-year cheating scandal\u2019<\/p>\n

Gwen Stefani\u2019s ex husband Gavin Rossdale made a rare comment about his divorce as he spoke on a new podcast this week.<\/p>\n

The 55-year-old pop icon shares three sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, with Gavin \u2013 who she divorced in 2015.<\/p>\n

At the time of their divorce she accused Gavin of adultery and reports swirled afterwards that Gavin had had a three-year affair with Mindy Mann who was their family nanny.<\/p>\n

She has since remarried to the country music star\u00a0Blake Shelton<\/span>\u00a0while he is now in a relationship with\u00a0singer girlfriend Xhoana X.<\/p>\n

Now Gavin has revealed 30 Rock star Jack McBrayer helped him \u2018raise\u2019 his kids after his divorce from Gwen.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the latest podcast episode of Dinner\u2019s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson on Wednesday, Gavin also remembered his marriage fondly.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the house they had in Los Angeles, he said: \u2018It was such an exciting time. I was there for a number of years when we were just together, when we got married, we had our first kid there.<\/p>\n

\u2018Gwen did a beautiful job on the nursery. That house has fantastic memories. We used to have amazing new year\u2019s eve parties every year. We never knew what to do, so it was easier to make the party come to us. Fantastic times.<\/p>\n

\u2018That was right at the height of everything really fun work-wise, it was really a great time for us. So I have a great memory of that house. Beautiful time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Speaking on the support he got from pal Jack at that time she added: \u2018What\u2019s so sweet about Jack is since I got divorced and was raising the kids on my own, he\u2019s come to every Christmas and Thanksgiving that I do with my kids.<\/p>\n

\u2018The last Thanksgiving, he sent me \u2013 and I posted it on my Instagram a little while ago \u2013 he sent me an invoice. For his presence!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Jack is the best. He\u2019s wonderful. He\u2019s a really good friend of mine.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added that Jack, who starred in the hit US comedy series 30 Rock alongside Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, has also been helping him try to break into acting.<\/p>\n

The Bush frontman has largely remained silent about his ex following their\u00a0divorce in 2016 after nearly 13 years of marriage<\/span>.<\/p>\n

However, in an interview last year,\u00a0he candidly discussed his \u2018shame\u2019 over the separation.<\/p>\n

\u2018I never thought I\u2019d ever get divorced, so there\u2019s a simple shame in my life,\u2019\u00a0 the rockstar began.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel bad for my kids,\u2019 he continued. \u2018I wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. It wasn\u2019t fun for me to come from a broken home.\u2019<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018It can be quite debilitating for kids. The overriding thing is you don\u2019t want to let your kids down.\u2019<\/p>\n

Gwen has previously said of their divorce: \u2018When that happened, I had to literally start over again. It was a reset of my life.\u2019<\/p>\n

In a 2016 Harper\u2019s Bazaar interview she also called the lead-up to their divorce as \u2018months of torture\u2019.<\/p>\n

She explained that she had a feeling that Gavin was hiding things from her, alluding to his alleged affair with their former nanny.<\/p>\n

Gwen said: \u2018It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret.<\/p>\n

\u2018It was so insane because not only did my family break up, but then my kids are taken away like half the time, so that was really like: \u2018What?! What did I do?\u2019<\/p>\n
