It is understood that the couple\u2019s friends are not surprised by the happy news.<\/p>\n

In fact, for a while, friends have jokingly been calling Kelce \u2018Mr. Taylor Swift,\u2019 which the football player thoroughly approves of.<\/p>\n

When the time came, and as is tradition, Kelce first sought the\u00a0permission of Swift\u2019s parents, 73-year-old Scott and 67-year-old Andrea Swift.<\/p>\n

After seeking the blessing of their families, Kelce turned to friends for advice on how to plan the proposal.<\/p>\n

A source told Page Six on Tuesday that the tight end actually proposed to Swift \u2018a couple of weeks ago\u2019. The exact date is not yet known.<\/p>\n
