Fox News hosts\u00a0Sean Hannity\u00a0and\u00a0Ainsley Earhardt\u00a0are engaged.<\/p>\n

After years of quietly dating long distance, Hannity, 62, proposed to Earhardt, 48, over Christmas week at a church in\u00a0his home state of Florida.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,\u201d\u00a0the pair told Fox News.<\/p>\n

The two added that they had the blessing and support from their children, who \u201ccouldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hannity shares two children, Patrick and Merri, with\u00a0ex-wife Jill Rhodes, whom he wed in 1993 and divorced from in 2019.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Earhardt has a daughter, Hayden, with ex-husband Will Proctor. The former couple got married in 2012,\u00a0announced their separation\u00a0in 2018 and\u00a0finalized their divorce\u00a0in 2019. Earhardt, who is based in New York, was also previously married to Kevin McKinney from 2005 to 2009.<\/p>\n

The couple told Fox News that they \u201cstill get along well\u201d with their ex-spouses and that they \u201cmade them aware this was happening ahead of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hannity and Earhardt said they bonded over their shared religious beliefs, and described the church as \u201cthe perfect place\u201d to propose, according to the outlet. They met with their minister shortly after the engagement.<\/p>\n

Back in June 2020, a source in Hannity and Earhardt\u2019s circle\u00a0told PEOPLE\u00a0that they had been \u201cbeen seeing each other very secretively for years,\u201d despite the pair publicly denying so.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very private because he\u2019s very famous and he\u2019s very controversial,\u201d the source said at the time, \u201cbut it\u2019s been an open secret that they have been seeing each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re together all the time, but in private \u2026 for years, not just months,\u201d the source continued.<\/p>\n

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Earhardt hosted her\u00a0Fox & Friends<\/em>\u00a0program from a studio in the basement of Hannity\u2019s Long Island mansion.<\/p>\n

In October 2019,\u00a0Earhardt told PEOPLE\u00a0she was ready to date again and open to having more kids.<\/p>\n
