Some people, including in her home country of Argentina, thought he was being abusive towards her and went as far as to make death threats against the Canadian singer.<\/p>\n

Now, nearly one month on, Lopilato confessed she\u2019s still shaken up by the harsh and disturbing responses her husband has had to endure.<\/p>\n

\u2018It made me afraid and I still feel a little bit frightened,\u2019 she said during an interview with\u00a0Intrusos<\/span>, a television show that\u2019s broadcast in Argentina.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s not nice to receive death threats. The positive messages we received outnumbered them but I am worried for my family.\u2019<\/p>\n

Lopilato, 32, added that she had suffered a lot from the backlash, and that the ordeal has caused also her husband a lot of pain,\u00a0especially the harsh criticism from fans in his wife\u2019s native country.<\/p>\n

The actress-model revealed some people got downright scary with their threats.<\/p>\n

\u2018We received a lot of love from people but you wouldn\u2019t believe the amount of people who sent me photos with weapons saying they were going to kill Mike when he reached Argentina,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

The mother of three added that there were \u2018photos of knives from people laughing and saying they were going to cut off his fingers, leave a bomb for us or give him a beating.\u2019<\/p>\n

The couple, who were married in Argentina in March 2011, are the proud parents to three children: sons Noah, six, and Elias, four, and daughter Vida, 22 months.<\/p>\n
