The winning coach will earn a \u201cSuper Steal\u201d for the battles round, allowing them to veto other coaches\u2019 attempt to recruit an artist.<\/p>\n<p>If that wasn\u2019t enough of a change-up already, each coach will also bring back two artists from their former teams during the knockouts for head-to-head sing-offs. The coach with the most sing-off wins is guaranteed a second season 29 finalist.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"S6gKAFey\"><\/div>\n<p>In addition, there\u2019ll be a new \u201cvoting block\u201d made up of past\u00a0<em>The Voice<\/em>\u00a0artists, as well as super-fans of the show. I don\u2019t know for sure the direction my life will go in. There\u2019s a possibility that that money might pay the bills for a little while.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But, he added, since his wife had promised their kids a trip to Disney World, he guessed he\u2019d be splurging on that too.<\/p>\n<p>Not that the value of the music opportunities that open up for the winners should be discounted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got a catalog of songs. The hopefuls have 90 seconds to introduce themselves\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>sing. They can sing anything they want but, per the\u00a0show\u2019s FAQ page, they\u2019re encouraged to pick a tune \u201cthat best suits your voice and represents you as an artist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judges listen to auditions for \u201cfive or six days with approximately 18 to 20 auditions per day,\u201d executive producer\u00a0<strong>Audrey Morrissey<\/strong>\u00a0told\u00a0SheKnows in 2018.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Once they\u2019re selected for the blind round, she explained, \u201cArtists are with us for several days prior to [their audition] to rehearse with our band, work with wardrobe\/styling and camera block on the audition stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s the filming to put together the packages introducing some of the hopefuls and their families, all of which came as a surprise to season six alum\u00a0<strong>Ddendyl Hoyt<\/strong>. \u201cI had no idea that reality TV was filmed kind of like a drama,\u201d she told the\u00a0<em>Washington Post\u00a0<\/em>in 2014, \u201cSo everything is filmed in segments and that\u2019s kind of the longest process of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure \u2018If you want to come back again, try it again next season, maybe a song that suits you, one that you\u2019re really comfortable with and that really shows your talent,\u2019 give them advice and team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe shop for each artist to come up with great looks,\u201d Morrissey told SheKnows. \u201cOnce we get to the live shows, looks are customized for each specific be pulling all-nighters, but they\u2019re invested in getting their teams ready for the battle rounds and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe coaching sessions take place over four days,\u201d Morrissey said, \u201cand the actual battle performances take two days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, she added, how involved a coach gets with each artist \u201cdepends on the coach. Some love a big production and like working out all the details\u2026Other coaches mainly focus on the music and arrangement for the performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some coaches \u201care avid texters while others email,\u201d Morrissey added. \u201cAll off-camera interactions intensify as the artists move through the competition and the stakes get higher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it takes a village, former contestant Hoyt telling the\u00a0<em>Post<\/em>, \u201cWhat they don\u2019t show is all the coaching that comes from the staff: The vocal coaches, the band director, the producers, everyone has notes for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snoop Dogg<\/strong>\u00a0told\u00a0<em>Access Hollywood<\/em>\u00a0in September 2025, \u201cThe behind-the-scenes people don\u2019t get the credit that they deserve. They make sure that you talk about it. It\u2019s very needed because you\u2019ll never go through anything like it again. It brings out the best and worst in both of us. It truly is an explosive relationship.
