First beginning on SoundCloud as a rapper, the Texas native scored an incredible amount of success in the genre with smash hits like \u201cWhite Iverson,\u201d \u201cCongratulations\u201d and \u201cRockstar.\u201d Throughout his time in hip-hop, he\u2019d score five American Music Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, six MTV Music Awards along with an additional 18 Grammy nominations (with five of those coming off the release of\u00a0<em>F-1\u00a0<\/em><i>Trillion\u00a0<\/i>last year).<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p>After receiving four nominations at last year\u2019s CMA Awards for Single, Song, Music Video and Musical Event of the Year, all for his all-genre Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit with\u00a0<strong>Morgan Wallen<\/strong>, \u201cI Had Some Help,\u201d Post was left searching for his first CMA Award heading into this year after \u201cI Had Some Help\u201d was shutout in all four of its categories.<\/p>\n<p>Heading into this year at the 59th annual CMA Awards, Post is up for two awards: Album of the Year (<em>F-1 Trillion)<\/em>\u00a0and Musical Event of the Year (\u201cPour Me A Drink\u201d feat. Though it didn\u2019t receive the massive virality that \u201cI Had Some Help Did\u201d (which cannot really be blamed due to the massive star power Morgan Wallen possesses), the still put up huge numbers both online and on the radio.<\/p>\n<p>Written by Post himself along with John Byron, Rocky Block, Jordan Dozzi, Charlie Handsome and Louis Bell, the song would go #1 on Billboard\u2019s Country Airplay chart, #3 on Billboard\u2019s Hot Country Songs chart, #12 on the all-genre Hot 100 and additionally score a #1 on Billboard\u2019s Canadian Country chart.
