Vince is only the tenth artist to ever receive the award, as it is not given every year.\u00a0Past recipients\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>George Strait (2024)<\/li>\n<li>Alan Jackson (2022)<\/li>\n<li>Loretta Lynn (2021)<\/li>\n<li>Charley Pride (2020)<\/li>\n<li>Kris Kristofferson (2019)<\/li>\n<li>Dolly Parton (2016)<\/li>\n<li>Johnny Cash (2015)<\/li>\n<li>Kenny Rogers (2013)<\/li>\n<li>Willie Nelson (2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The honor is given to\u00a0<em>\u201can iconic artist who has attained the\u00a0<strong>highest degree of recognition in Country Music<\/strong>. The crowd stood up and applauded the honoree as he took the stage. He thanked the CMA family, his Opry family, his management family, and his immediate family.
