Jason Aldean called the opportunity to perform for Trump \u201ca whole different ball game\u201d as he hailed Carrie Underwood\u2019s Inauguration Day a cappella performance<\/p>\n

Jason Aldean\u00a0came in support of his fellow country singer,\u00a0Carrie Underwood,\u00a0following her Inauguration Day performance. On Monday, the 41-year-old songstress was forced to perform America the Beautiful a cappella due to technical issues. The Dirt Road Anthem hitmaker, who performed at Liberty Ball after\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0was sworn in as president, reflected on the Before He Cheats singer\u2019s performance during Tuesday\u2019s appearance on Fox & Friends.<\/p>\n

Jason Aldean defends Carrie Underwood over Inauguration Day performance<\/h2>\n

\u201cFirst of all, it\u2019s a hard song to do anyway,\u201d Aldean said, referring to the patriotic track, which Underwood was forced to perform without background music. The She\u2019s Country singer went on to say, \u201cAnd when you\u2019re supposed to be singing to a track, and that\u2019s what gives you pitch reference for the song.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo not have that, for her to just kinda say, \u2018All right, listen, we\u2019ll go.\u2019 That\u2019s a big move, and that\u2019s a pro move on her part, so I thought it was great,\u201d the 47-year-old said of Underwood. Elsewhere in the interview, Aldean reflected on his own performance on\u00a0Inauguration Day.<\/p>\n

Aldean noted that it was \u201ca huge honour to be here and to be a part of that night and all the people that were there to support President Trump.\u201d \u201cIt just kind of feels electric. Everybody is just excited for this new chapter of where we are headed,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
