She now moves on to the two-night live finale that airs Dec. 15 and 16 on NBC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI am so grateful for Reba,\u201d Nicole said following her selection to the finale. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I am going to the live finale. \u201c<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">A clip of her performance can be found\u00a0here.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F863011999440961%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=267&amp;t=0\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-origwidth=\"267\" data-origheight=\"476\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">As\u00a0the lone female artist left on\u00a0Team Reba, Nicole went up against\u00a0three male teammates \u2014\u00a0Ryan Mitchell, Aaron\u00a0Nichols\u00a0and Peyton Kyle\u00a0\u2014 in the playoff round in a bid to get to the finale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI chose Aubrey because she has a way of portraying a lot of\u00a0emotion. And\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0what music is supposed to be about,\u201d McEntire said after making her\u00a0selection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Nicole,\u00a0who grew up\u00a0splitting\u00a0time living in Hanover in York County and Littlestown in Adams County, sang the Alannah Myles hit\u00a0\u201cBlack Velvet\u201d in her bid to make the finale.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-56189\" src=\"https:\/\/newsngay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Frame-Thumb-13-300x162.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsngay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Frame-Thumb-13-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/newsngay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Frame-Thumb-13.jpg 650w\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"196\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI really want to bring something big to the playoffs without being overly emotional,\u201d\u00a0Nicole said on the show. \u201cI just want to tell the story\u00a0with\u00a0my voice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">She told McEntire during the show that the greatest part about being on the show was being on Team Reba.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI really believe Reba believes in me,\u201d Nicole had said on the show. \u201cI would love to be her finalist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">McEntire\u00a0has had\u00a0a special connection with Nicole throughout the competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cAubrey is so sweet,\u201d McEntire said during the show. \u201cWith the emotion in her voice, she always touches my heart.\u00a0Aubrey was another one-chair turn. There is an aura around her. I would call her my \u2018heart of gold.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Fellow celebrity coach Niall Horan said that\u00a0Nicole\u00a0has always been on his mind as a\u00a0dark horse\u00a0in the competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cDuring the course of the competition, she has always stood out in front,\u201d Horan said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/vTcNs.5wVe51Im3c.wgQDg--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTk2MDtoPTY0MDtjZj13ZWJw\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/hanover-evening-sun\/40df49cd9766f77fca1750992c64191d\" alt=\"Littlestown's Aubrey Nicole returns to &quot;The Voice&quot; on Monday, Dec. 1\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Ahead of her playoff performance, Nicole said getting this far in the competition is far beyond her expectations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI did\u00a0not\u00a0imagine that I was\u00a0going to make it this far in the competition,\u201d she said. \u201cI was a one-chair turn. I needed a save in the Battle Round. And now I am going\u00a0to the playoffs.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0just mind-blowing.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0so exciting. This is the round where they decide who is going into the finale\u00a0\u2014\u00a0basically the\u00a0semifinals. I\u00a0am\u00a0definitely\u00a0nervous, but I am super excited.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Nicole\u00a0was saved by McEntire during the Battle\u00a0Round on Oct. 14, when she went up against\u00a0and lost to\u00a0Minnesota singer Cori Kennedy. She went on to beat out fellow Team Reba singer\u00a0Leyton Robinson during the Knockout Round to make it to the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cBlack Velvet,\u201d\u00a0the song that Nicole sang to get to the finale, was picked for her to perform by McEntire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cThis is one of the rounds where the coaches\u00a0pick\u00a0the song,\u00a0which\u00a0was really cool,\u201d Nicole said,\u00a0\u201cbut I would have picked this song. I love this song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">She said the day she made her bid to be on the show by\u00a0submitting\u00a0a video of her\u00a0performing, Nicole warmed up\u00a0prior to singing for the video with \u201cBlack Velvet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Nicole said the classic sound of the song is one of the things she likes most about it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0a great song.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0an incredible tribute to Elvis,\u201d Nicole said. \u201cAlannah Myles has a beautiful voice, and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a song\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0always gravitated to.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a storytelling\u00a0song and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a big ballad.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0right up my alley.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0something I would choose. I love those songs that tell a story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The song has a bluesy tone to it, but Nicole said she added her own twist\u00a0on\u00a0it when she performed it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cEven though it\u2019s bluesy, there are some country aspects to it,\u201d she said. \u201cReba kept calling it swampy, which\u00a0makes sense to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">She said\u00a0McEntire said she\u00a0loved the song in\u00a0rehearsals but\u00a0told Nicole to go home and look in the mirror when she sang it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cYou need to put on your best George Strait attitude. You need to sing this song and not smile once,\u201d Nicole said. \u201cShe said \u2018You need to get serious.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Nicole said it was the perfect advice because she has a tendency to smile when she performs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">She said she did a lot of mental preparation as well to get ready for her playoff performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cThe song has been done a million times over,\u201d Nicole said. \u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0a classic and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a great song.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0why people sing it so much. I wanted to make sure I made it my own. I\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0overdo it with my changes, but I wanted to put a little Aubrey Nicole in there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Up to this point in the competition, Nicole said it has been about\u00a0proving\u00a0to\u00a0herself that she can\u00a0perform\u00a0on a national stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cIf I get to the finale, I hope that I can make everyone back home proud,\u201d she said before the playoff round. \u201cI would love to be able to\u00a0make\u00a0to the finale for my friends and my family at home.
