On July 14, 2025, Robin Kaye, a renowned music supervisor who worked on\u00a0American\u202fIdol<\/em>\u00a0for around 15 seasons and won multiple Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, was found shot to death in her home in Encino, Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Kaye\u2019s husband, Thomas Deluca, a musician and songwriter who wrote for singers including Kid Rock and Meredith Brooks, was also discovered dead.<\/p>\n

Details Surrounding Kaye\u2019s Tragic Murder<\/h2>\n

Surveillance video from the\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0executive\u2019s home revealed that the suspected burglar-turned-killer was seen jumping a fence and entering the home through an unlocked sliding glass door.<\/p>\n

Kaye and Deluca arrived home about\u00a030 minutes later. Police reportedly responded to the home after receiving calls about a potentially armed man jumping fences, but\u00a0left when no one answered\u00a0and no signs of forced entry were immediately visible.<\/p>\n

With the surveillance video and fingerprints left behind at the scene, police were able to identify the suspect as\u00a022-year-old Raymond Boodarian<\/strong>\u00a0in connection with the murders.<\/p>\n
