Khloe Grace<\/strong>, a 15-year-old singer\/songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida, delivered a heart-wrenching performance that left\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0judges and viewers in tears as she paid tribute to a 13-year-old girl whose life was tragically cut short.<\/p>\n

Khloe\u2019s emotional audition began with an unexpected introduction from Heather Wyatt, mother of the late 13-year-old\u00a0Aubreigh Paige Wyatt, who passed away by suicide in 2023. Khloe had never met Heather before the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not a contestant. My name is Heather Wyatt. I\u2019m here to introduce Khloe Grace. Khloe is a young girl, who about a year ago, wrote and performed a song in honor of my daughter, Aubreigh, that we lost to suicide in 2023,\u201d Heather told the\u00a0Idol<\/em>\u00a0judges.<\/p>\n

Khloe Grace then explained the inspiration behind her original song, \u201c13 Forever,\u201d a track she wrote by herself dedicated to the late Aubriegh Paige Wyatt.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomething kept telling me to write that song, so I did,\u201d Khloe shared. \u201cI\u2019ve never met her. I couldn\u2019t [get the story out of my mind] and It did just relate\u2026 I felt that so much in my heart to write this song [and] I went through some of the things Aubreigh went through, and it was really hard. So I was like, if I could write something that could just very small help someone, then it\u2019s totally worth me writing this song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heather told\u00a0Idol<\/em>\u00a0producers that she first heard Khloe\u2019s song on TikTok about a year ago. \u201cI immediately cried. It was beautiful. It reflected what Aubrie had gone through,\u201d she said. \u201cAubreigh is my forever 13-year-old daughter. She is bright, beautiful, talented, and she endured years of bullying, social media pressures and took her life September 4th, 2023 [in Mississippi]. Just very unexpected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heather surprised Khloe on the Idol set in the audition room, thanking her in person for the song for the first time. \u201cOh my God. Hi. This means the world to me, you don\u2019t even know,\u201d Khloe said as tears filled her eyes.<\/p>\n

Strumming an acoustic guitar, Khloe Grace went on to perform the heart-wrenching song \u201c13 Forever,\u201d as Aubreigh\u2019s mom Heather watched from beside her with tears streaming down her face.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was only 13\/ had some big dreams\/ and you took them \u2019em all away\/ she had her whole life ahead of her, and you watched her drift away\/ you never thought that what you said could mess up some else\u2019s head\/ but maybe you\u2019ll think now that she\u2019s gone\/ a young girl had to lose her life so that you can feel somewhat satisfied\/ in this sick and twisted world\/ you wouldn\u2019t think that a few young girls\/ could do any harm, but look where we are\/ now she\u2019s dancing up in Heaven with no tears, no worry, no weight on her shoulders today,\u201d she sang on the first verse.<\/p>\n

Khloe continued to sing the lyrics of the track that spoke to Aubreigh\u2019s struggles and the pain of losing a child too soon. \u201cI\u2019ve never felt that kind of pain, but I can\u2019t imagine how it feels\/ to be a mom and lose her daughter, it must feel so surreal\/ like how could she be gone she blames herself for doing wrong\/ but I hope that she knows it ain\u2019t her fault\/ even though she is gone\/ her story will forever live on\/ and I\u2019m gonna say her name\/ cause no one deserves that kind of pain,\u201d she concluded. \u201cForever 13 had some big dreams, and you took \u2019em all away.\u201d<\/p>\n
