Reba McEntire<\/strong>\u00a0shared a heartfelt post honoring actress and comedian\u00a0Catherine O\u2019Hara<\/strong>, who died on Friday (January 30).\u00a0She was 71.<\/p>\n

\u201cSending my thoughts to Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s family and friends today. I never had the privilege of working with her, but what a great talent. I loved her work so much that I wanted to dress up as her character from\u00a0Beetlejuice<\/em>\u00a0a couple years ago.\u00a0\"\u2764\ufe0f\",\u201d McEntire wrote in her\u00a0Instagram caption<\/a>\u00a0as she shared side-by-side photos of herself and O\u2019Hara.<\/p>\n

McEntire dressed as Delia Deetz,\u00a0O\u2019Hara\u2019s iconic\u00a0Beetlejuice\u00a0<\/em>character, for Halloween in 2024. The country star\u2019s fianc\u00e9,\u00a0Rex Linn<\/strong>, dressed in\u00a0Danny DeVito<\/strong>\u2019s look as the janitor. McEntire and Linn appeared on\u00a0The Kelly Clarkson Show\u00a0<\/em>in their costumes, matching host\u00a0Kelly Clarkson<\/strong>\u2019s eye-popping\u00a0Beetlejuice<\/em>\u00a0transformation.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara starred in the 1988\u00a0Tim Burton<\/strong>\u00a0film \u2014 and the 2024 sequel \u2014 with\u00a0Michael Keaton<\/strong>\u00a0as the title character.\u00a0Keaton said in a tribute\u00a0of his own that he and O\u2019Hara \u201cgo back before the first Beetlejuice. She\u2019s been my pretend wife, my pretend nemesis and my real life, true friend. This one hurts. Man am I gonna miss her. Thinking about Beau as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other co-stars O\u2019Hara worked with over the years, including\u00a0Home Alone\u00a0<\/em>star\u00a0Macaulay Culkin<\/strong>, mourned the loss of the late legendary actress. Culkin, now 45,\u00a0wrote a tribute to his \u201cmama.\u201d\u00a0He said, \u201cI thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. but I had so much more to say. I love you. I\u2019ll see you later.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara is survived by her husband of more than three decades,\u00a0Bo Welch<\/strong>, and her sons,\u00a0Matthew<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Luke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
