Once upon a time,\u00a0Bryan Cranston\u00a0and Catherine O\u2019Hara took mushrooms and went to a Grateful Dead concert in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a memory Cranston shared when stopping by\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em>\u00a0in September, and one some fans are looking back at fondly following news of\u00a0O\u2019Hara\u2019s death\u00a0on Friday, Jan. 30, at the age of 71.<\/p>\n

Before you get too excited about any tripped out details, it was all in the name of Hollywood. Or so, Cranston says. The actor recalled taking the drug to prepare for his scene as Continental Studios CEO Griffin Mill in\u00a0Seth Rogan\u2019s\u00a0The Studio<\/em>. In the show, the studio exec gets high on mushroom chocolates and things get chaotic quickly. However, the real world issue was that Cranston had never taken the drug himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m playing this character who is wiped out and I had never had any experience in that. Not\u00a0many drugs at all, as a matter of fact, and so I didn\u2019t know really how to behave,\u201d Cranston told host Kimmel. \u201cSo I was asking\u00a0Seth Rogen and Ike Barinholtz, \u2018You guys are huge druggies! What can you tell me?\u2019\u201d he continued, adding that they recommended microdosing at first.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were in Las Vegas shooting this crazy show with Seth Rogen and we all decided to go to the Sphere to see the\u00a0Grateful Dead,\u201d Cranston said, before concluding: \u201cIf God wasn\u2019t telling me to do microdosing, what was he telling me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Soon, O\u2019Hara joined in the effort, but not without hesitation. Cranston said that they were \u201cnervous\u201d and \u201cclutching each other,\u201d despite Barinholtz assuring them he\u2019d take care of the duo. Eventually, Cranston said they were given \u201cthin square chocolates,\u201d but the result was anti-climatic. \u201cI took it. Nothing. I didn\u2019t feel anything,\u201d said the actor. \u201cIt felt like maybe I took three sips of wine.\u201d<\/p>\n
