Harrison Ford<\/span>\u00a0teared up as he emotionally accepted the Life Achievement honor at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/span>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 83-year-old star \u2013 who was\u00a0accompanied by doting wife Calista Flockhart during the festivities\u00a0<\/span>\u2013 gave a sweet tribute to the actress whom he tied the knot with in 2010.<\/p>\n

Ford was presented the special award by close friend\u00a0Woody Harrelson<\/span>, who described the\u00a0Star Wars<\/span>\u00a0alum as an \u2018iconic actor\u2019 that has \u2018an indescribable energy he brings to everything he does.\u2019<\/p>\n

At one point, Ford expressed gratitude to his \u2018extraordinary, beautiful wife\u2019 as well as his family.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m in a room of actors, many of whom are here because they\u2019ve been nominated to receive a prize for their amazing work,\u2019 the actor said, before jokingly adding, \u2018Well, I\u2019m here to receive a prize for being alive.\u2019<\/p>\n

He continued to make the audience laugh as he explained that it felt strange to receive such an award at the \u2018half point\u2019 in his career.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m still a working actor,\u2019 he continued during his moving, seven-minute speech.<\/p>\n

Ford paused with tears in his eyes before recalling how he had been \u2018a little lost\u2019 in college before coming across \u2018the company of people putting on plays, storytellers, people I once thought were misfits and geeks turned out to be my people.\u2019<\/p>\n

He discovered that his passion was through the magic of \u2018storytelling\u2019 and added with emotion that \u2018the work I do with other actors is one of the great joys of my life.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Blade Runner star also talked about the \u2018incredible\u2019 people he has worked and collaborated with during his career.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s been a tough business to get into and a tough business to get out of, thank God,\u2019 he quipped, causing the audience \u2013 who also had tears in their eyes \u2013 to let out laughs.<\/p>\n

\u2018Sometimes we make entertainment, sometimes we make art. Sometimes we\u2019re lucky to make them both\u00a0at the same time, and if we\u2019re really fortunate, we also get to make a living doing it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ford added that \u2018success in this business brings a certain freedom that comes with responsibility to support each other.<\/p>\n

\u2018To lift others up when we can, to keep the door open for the next kid, the next lost boy who\u2019s looking for a place to belong.\u2019<\/p>\n

The star took a second to pause and after letting out a deep breath, he admitted that he was \u2018indeed a lucky guy.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Lucky to have found my people, lucky to have work that challenges me,\u00a0lucky to still be doing it. And I don\u2019t take that for granted.\u2019<\/p>\n
