But one of his favorite memories is of one he crashed, early in his career.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI crashed a wedding one time when my first album came out,\u201d Urban recalls to\u00a0<em>WKML<\/em>. \u201cThere was a song on it called \u2018I Wanna Be Your Everything.\u2019 It was a single when it came out, and we played in the Smoky Mountains. We get off the tour bus, and next to the tour bus was a little church. I could hear my song being played in the church, and the doors were closed. I said, \u2018Oh my gosh! Someone\u2019s getting married to my song. This is so exciting.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imageio.forbes.com\/specials-images\/imageserve\/66ed79d8a5283eea52c0d9d6\/Summerfest-2024\/960x0.jpg?format=jpg&amp;width=960\" alt=\"Keith Urban Faces A 25-Year Low With His New Album\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<p>Urban couldn\u2019t contain his enthusiasm, and invited himself to join their small, intimate ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I get my guitar off the bus, bring one of my guitar players with me for harmony, and I knock on the door very excited,\u201d Urban continues, thinking the people would be \u201camazed\u201d that he was there in-person. \u201cThis guy answers the door, and he goes, \u2018Can I help you?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Hi.\u2019 He goes, \u2018Can I help you?\u2019 I went, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m, my name\u2019s Keith Urban.\u2019 He goes, \u2018Yeah?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s me singing that song. Can I come in and sing it?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\"><\/div>\n<p>Fortunately, the guy who answered the door realized Urban really was the singer, and invited him in, although it wasn\u2019t quite the wedding Urban envisioned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI walk in. It\u2019s this tiny little church,\u201d the \u201cStraight Line\u201d singer remembers. \u201cThere must\u2019ve been 10 people in there tops, bride and groom up there, little country wedding. Amazing!
